About Me
- Name: Lorcan
- Location: New York, NY, U.S. Outlying Islands
I'm an urban plain Quaker ... with a JD - which relates to my favorite quote regarding myself, Ron Kuby (on Lorcan Otway) "A Juris Doctorate is a terrible thing to waste..." What else can I say? I always refer to my understanding and darling wife as my better 3\4. Sells her short to say my better half... My dear lamented late friend, Arthur Kinoy, when he was the last living lawyer who had defended the Rosenbergs said, "The Civil Rights Movement died the day we stopped singing." So here I am, left to sing about it... Lor

How do we prepare our hearts and minds for online interaction among Friends and non-Friends?

Liz, this is a wonderful query. I have been thinking of the post on another blog about what it is to be gathered in meeting, and truth in that... and have been thinking, that though immidiate presence is needed in meeting, we should be able to reach out to that of God in each other over the distance on line... it takes discipline, thy query speaks to that for me.
It is not too orthodox at all, it is an important thought... pause and wait.
As to organizational input, in coming to the final unity, (accepting all that is in the minute, ) that should be members of meetings, but as far as listening to advice and input, that is certainly open to all in a Quaker meeting for worship with a concern for business.
Found this on the net and thought it may apply to this project. The Harris Protocol for blogging.
Its a great part of starting online business. How to communicate with the guys to whome you know and to those who you don't. We must have to be tricky little bit somewhere.
